SDG 12.2.6
SDG 12.2.6 Policy for minimisation of disposable items
NCUE operates in accordance with the Ministry of Environment's ‘Parties Subject to and Means for Disposable Tableware Use Restrictions’, ‘Restrictions on the Use of Single-Use Plastic Straws, Applicable Entities, and Implementation Methods’, and ‘Guidelines for Government Agencies and Schools to Reduce the Use of Disposable Tableware and Packaged Drinking Water’.
NCUE has posted notices prohibiting the provision of disposable tableware of any material and single-use plastic straws, along with posters on the implementation of guidelines for government agencies and schools to reduce the use of disposable tableware and bottled water, as shown in Figures 1 and 2. NCUE does not provide prepackaged drinking water in cups or bottles during meetings, as shown in Figure 3. NCUE's canteens do not provide disposable tableware for dine-in use, as shown in Figure 4. All food stalls in NCUE's canteens display signage stating that shopping plastic bags are not provided free of charge and that single-use plastic straws are not available for dine-in customers, as shown in Figure 5.
