Number of low income students receiving financial aid

In 2025, NCUE provided economic assistance measures for low-income students, including tuition and miscellaneous fee subsidies, on-campus scholarships, and work-study student subsidies. The number of economically disadvantaged students at NCUE totaled 811 students. The number of low-income students receiving economic assistance at NCUE totaled 1,251 instances, with a total disbursement of NTD$34,397,252 in grants and subsidies (Table 1 - Table 3).

1. Tuition and Miscellaneous Fee Subsidies: (Figure 2-3)

For students from low-income households, their entire tuition and miscellaneous fees are waived. For students from middle-to-low-income households, there is a 60% exemption in tuition and miscellaneous fees.

2. Work-Study Student Subsidies: (Figure2,4)

Calculated based on the hourly wage standard of the Ministry of Labor’s basic wage. Wages are paid to students on an hourly basis, with a maximum of 10 hours per week during the semester and a principle of not exceeding 40 hours of work-study per month.

3. On-campus Scholarships: In order to encourage NCUE's The Soaring Eagles Students (economically and culturally disadvantaged students) to strive diligently in their studies, various scholarships and fellowships are specially offered. Eligible students can receive the subsidies only after completing their academic guidance records. (Figure5-10)
