SDG 11.2.1 Public access to buildings
The Yi-hui Hall/ the Department Hall of Fine Arts (Figure 1), Jie-ying Hall/ the Department Hall of English (Figure 2), Hong-dao Hall/ the Department Hall of Chinese (Figure 3), and Qiao-si Hall/ the Department Hall of Mathematics (Figure 4) in NCUE are buildings of historical significance and architectural distinction. The public is allowed to visit the buildings for free throughout the year.
1. On July 20, 2018, the Ministry of Education issued the official letter Tai-Kao-(I)-Tzu No. 1040097609 which included the “Ministry of Education's List of Buildings with Potential for Cultural Heritage.” The data source was the survey as of April 2015, which reviewed the buildings constructed before 1971 and managed by various agencies. (Annex: 11.2.1A)
2. In addition, during the 2018–2019 period, NCUE commissioned scholars of the NCUE to inspect buildings in NCUE with potential value as cultural heritage constructed before December 31, 1981. It was found that Yi-hui Hall Jie-ying Hall, Hong-dao Hall, and Qiao-si Hall were characterized by historical significance and architectural features. (Annex: 11.2.1B)
