SDG17.2.3 International collaboration data gathering for SDG-2021
Through international research projects and symposiums, NCUE has cooperated with transnational organizations to implement the following policy objectives related to sustainable development.
1. Professor Wen-jan Yang of the Department of Electrical Engineering of NCUE cooperated with the Ministry of Education of India to implement the Taiwan Experience Education Programme.
The artificial intelligence neural network of the Embedded System Laboratory has been applied to smart grid energy storage systems, for the big data analysis of manufacturing, and in cloud monitoring platforms. The results can be applied to industrial automation and strengthen the real-time monitoring and analysis of manufacturing. Anagha Rajendra Pakhare, a participating intern, also assisted in the Academia Assisting Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Science and Technology Care Programme of the Ministry of Economic Affairs. Please refer to Appendices 17.2.3A and 17.2.3B for supporting information.

2. Professor Hua Feng of the Rehabilitation Counselling Institute of NCUE cooperated with the Department of Psychology at the University of Nevada in the United States and international experts to set up international certification courses.
A hybrid (distance and face-to-face group discussion) teaching mode was adopted to provide high-quality teaching and counselling services for improving our understanding of behavioural problems. In 2020, five certification courses were offered to students inside and outside NCUE and two teachers participated in a transnational teaching collaboration: Dr. Hsin-hui Tsai (Western University in Canada) and lecturer Shu-hui Ko (doctoral student at the University of Nevada with a behavioural analyst license). In the group discussion class, Dr. Shu-chen Tsai (University of Louisville) and Master Yun-chun Tsai (Marcus Autism Centre in Georgia) were invited to conduct international cooperation and exchanges. A total of 71 students at NCUE and 99 students outside attended this series of international certification courses, and four of our students received their international behavioural analyst certification and license.
