SDG14.5.1 Minimising alteration of aquatic ecosystems (plan)
In accordance with the regulations of the Waste Disposal Act, the laboratory waste liquid in NCUE is entrusted to be cleaned and treated as industrial waste, and the original sewage treatment facilities are still in normal operation. In addition, the Department of Biology’s ‘Project of the Division of Science and Technology/”Carbon Fixing Algae Tree”: Teaching Experimental Module of National High School Energy Saving and Carbon Reduction Module’ , and the Center for General Education activities such as “The Pink Storm: Discussion on Protecting the Algal Reef Ecology and the Causes and Consequences of the Referendum” and “The Little-Known Undersea Architects: Diversity, Ecology, and Evolution of Crustose Coralline Algae, to minimise the physical, chemical, and biological changes in the relevant aquatic ecosystem.

2.Project of the Division of Science and Technology: ‘“Carbon-Fixing Algae Tree”: Teaching the Experimental Module of the National High School Energy Saving, and Carbon Reduction Module’
Under the multiple impacts of the depletion of the Earth’s natural resources and the deterioration of the human living environment in the 21st century, environmental protection and paying attention to the Earth’s ecosystem have become issues of global concern. Thus, it is important to teach students about energy, attitude, environmental protection, and evaluation. To achieve effective use of energy and energy conservation, and reduce the global warming, energy conservation and carbon reduction should not be only slogans, but using low-carbon green energy should be a pragmatic approach. Teaching students how to do this has become one of the important education goals.
