SDG4.3.3 Vocational training events (lifelong learning)-2021
NCUE is one of the three normal universities in Taiwan and an important training school for junior high school teachers in the central region to continue their education. In addition, to assist in the cultivation of talents in Changhua County, NCUE also plans many promotion education courses related to vocational training. It also cooperates with local governments and enterprise groups to hold on-the-job talent training.
1.Regular vocational training courses
In line with the needs of the Ministry of Education and secondary school teachers for continuous learning, NCUE regularly holds second expertise and enhancement classes every year to assist in-service teachers to acquire new teaching knowledge and improve their professional teaching capabilities. A total of 26 courses were held in 2020, with 1,080 training hours and a total of 792 participants.

2.Vocational training courses held irregularly every academic year
2.1 To promote lifelong learning and education, including workplace empowerment courses for the public, NCUE plans vocational training courses for different working groups, such as corporate leaders, corporate labor, and people in professional and technical fields. These courses serve the needs of the community residents and local industry and cover various aspects of vocational education. The offerings include management training courses, education-themed courses, and laboratory instrument operation courses, such as electronic engineering. We held a total of 87 classes in 2020, with more than 2,588 training hours, and we assisted 2,178 trainees to improve their knowledge and abilities.

2.2 To assist in the sustainable operation of enterprises in Changhua County, where the school is located, NCUE cooperates with the Changhua County government and private enterprise groups. In 2016, 2019, and 2020, we held the Young Family Pillar Development Academy-Second Generation Enterprise Elite Training Course and Women Academy-Female Leadership Training Course. We cultivate second-generation successors for small and medium-sized enterprises in Changhua County. Through 54-hour short-term courses each term, we train these second generations to possess the necessary capabilities in management, innovative management, digital marketing, communication, and negotiation. In addition, in response to the needs of the technological age, topics such as innovative applications of artificial intelligence, big data analysis, and applications have also been added to the curriculum planning. So far, nearly 200 students have successfully completed the course.

2.3 NCUE cooperates with The Advertisement Engineering Association R.O.C. Since 2016, we have held 118-hour training sessions on vocational knowledge and skills for professionals in the advertising engineering field each year, and assisted students in obtaining relevant certification from the Ministry of Labor. We equip students with the theoretical, practical, and management skills required by the advertising engineering industry. So far, 132 students have successfully completed the course.
