SDG14.5.3 Programs towards good aquatic stewardship practices-2021
NCUE has ongoing projects and activities, which include ‘Fangyuan Reconstruction USR Seed Type Project’ by the Environmental Education Centre, and ‘2020-2022 Delve into Fangyuan, Hand in Hand with Dacheng: Industrial and Environmental Sustainability in Twin Cities of Changhua’ project. The following is a brief introduction.
‘Fangyuan Reconstruction USR Seed Type Project’ and ‘2020–2022 Delve into Fangyuan, Hand in Hand with Dacheng: Industrial and Environmental Sustainability in Twin Cities of Changhua Project’
Included service plan: Twice a month on regular basis . There are a total of 18 teachers and student members in NCUE , who receive technical cooperation from the Fisheries Research Institute and HungKuang University.
They monitor and investigate 14 fish farms, four coastal water inlet channels, as well as underground water wells of the Changhua County Aquaculture and Fisheries Development Association, providing real-time water quality and bacteria detection and monitoring analysis. Moreover, they not only monitor the coastal water quality and the ecological safety, but also give management suggestions and improvement strategies to coastal mariculture farmers in Changhua and ensure the production of safe aquatic products.
08/05/2021 A water quality inspection and monitoring service team consists of teachers and students in NCUE. They conduct water quality and bacteria inspection and monitor the coastal aquatic ecosystem at coastal water inlets and fish farms in Changhua every 2 weeks.
