SDG 17.2.5 Collaboration with NGOs for SDGs
NCUE actively collaborates with non-governmental organizations through cross-unit exchanges, organizing promotional activities, serving in key leadership positions, and jointly executing projects to achieve sustainable development policy goals. The following lists 10 items of collaboration and exchange between NCUE faculty and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in 2024:
1. NCUE collaborated with the Kao Family Education Foundation to organize the 2024 Yeang Wang Cup National Science HomeRun Competition. The competition encourages students to engage in design thinking and project implementation using Arduino. The preliminary round is evaluated based on concept proposal documents, the semi-final requires submission of project description documents and demonstration videos, and finalists must bring their practical works to the venue for demonstration and present their projects to judges with Q&A sessions. Through collaboration with non-governmental organization resources, this initiative stimulates student’s creativity, integrates interdisciplinary knowledge, and solves natural science problems. In 2024, nearly 800 secondary school teachers and students from 18 counties and cities nationwide participated.
