SDG 8.2.7 Tracking pay scale for gender equity
NCUE upholds the principles of fairness and justice, and diversity and inclusion, and is committed to supporting underrepresented groups among faculty and staff, including gender minorities and individuals with disabilities. The university has clearly established fair and transparent policy regulations for faculty and staff job promotions and advancement. Compensation standards are determined based on individual qualifications such as education, experience, seniority, and professional capabilities, with absolutely no differential treatment based on gender or sexual orientation. This creates a diverse and friendly workplace environment and promotes the fair development of all faculty and staff.
Employees’ salaries and remuneration belonging to different groups, such as namely faculty members, civil servants of NCUE, and personnel employed by the university endowment fund, are combined, and the average male and female wages for each group are calculated. The results show that there is little difference in the average wages of males and females in each group; in fact, the average wages of female employees are NTD$4,512 higher than that of male employees. The details are as follows; the average salaries for NCUE faculty members and staff are shown in Table 1. The overall salary in 2025 is also higher than the salary level in 2024, as shown in Figure 1.
