1. Due to uncertainties arising from U.S.-China rivalry, geopolitical risks, and other factors, NCUE's 2024 investment approach is as follows for safety considerations:
(1) Deposits are placed with both public and private financial institutions in the form of fixed deposits, including foreign currency accounts, to generate stable interest income. NCUE adopts a cpmbination of short-term and long-term deposit strategies to ensure flexible fund utilization while minimizing idle cash in current accounts.
(2) Given that bond ETFs carry generally carry lower risk compared to equities and provide a secure and worthwhile investment option, U.S. government bonds have been initially selected as investment targets.
(3) In summary, NCUE's investment portfolio does not been include carbon-intensive energy industries, aligning with its commitment to sustainable and responsible financial management.
