1. Public dormitories (duty dormitories) have been set up in NCUE to be used by the faculty and staff, and a dormitory maintenance and management fee is charged. This fee is only about 20%-30% of price charged in the local rental market (the comparison between housing in Changhua area and the duty dormitories in NCUE is shown in the following table).

2. The types of single-room and multi-room duty dormitories in NCUE include suites, elegant rooms, apartment-style multi-rooms, and single-family 2-storey rooms. According to personal preference, different number of pings  and types of rooms can be applied for, and the fees charged are different. However, the prices are reasonable and favourable. 3. The accommodation area is located on a spacious campus. During the day, one can go for an early-morning walk or jog, and stop to watch the white geese swimming in Baisha Lake. After work, one can walk in a forest of trees, which is the best place to absorb phytoncide. During leisure time, one can use various sports and leisure facilities (swimming pool, playground, basketball court, badminton court, training room, etc.), and there are restaurants and shops both inside and outside the university. Such a beautiful environment adds value and enables the staff of NCUE to energise themselves both physically and mentally.
