SDG 12.2.4 Policy waste disposal - landfill policy

NCUE implements garbage classification and sorting, as shown in Figure 1. NCUE requests the Cleaning Squad of Changhua Municipal Office to provide monthly information on the weight of general waste and recycled materials from NCUE. Recycled materials include the following categories: paper, plastic, glass, iron and aluminum cans, paper containers (meal boxes), PET bottles, and dry batteries, as indicated in Table 1. Waste generated on campus for the past 3 years is shown in Figure 2.

Changhua City Office annually organizes the issuance of monetary incentives to schools within its jurisdiction for cooperating in promoting resource recycling. In 2022, the Changhua City Office disbursed a total of NT$176,355 in monetary incentives, as shown in Table 2. Please refer to Annex: 12.2.4A - Changhua City Office Official Document for details.
